About Auld Alliance Games
We are proud to announce our first project, ' I Thought There'd Be Stars...' a sci-fi exploration of loneliness and the struggle to survive. Follow us for further updates!
"I remember being disappointed. I remember looking up at the night sky and feeling like something was missing. Honestly, I thought there’d be stars..."
Far out in the deepest reaches of space, a young man dreams of seeing the ruins of old earth. He dreams of setting foot on its soil and breathing in its air. He smiles to himself and his stained fingers pick up the paintbrushes again. Beside him, swaying gently in her hammock, sits his only real friend. In the comfort of her nook behind the cooling ducts, they while away the endless days. Sully's the reason he's on this ship after all. She cracks another joke. He laughs and reaches for another pot of paint.
Sully awakes with a gasp on cold stone, the sound of pounding rain filling her world. She slowly gets to her feet, the endless rain soaking through her suit. She stares back at the smoldering carcass of her old life, anguish clawing at her insides. Her scream echoes off the endless black sky. Out in the storm, beyond the veil of rain and howling wind, a figure stirs and turns a gleaming eye towards the blaze...
Follow a starship engineer through the wreckage of her life as she desperately strives to be rescued from the storm-tossed hellscape she's crashed on. However, it's not just the rain that chills Sully to the bone but the memory of what she's lost. As she treks across this desolate planet, she cannot shake the ominous feeling that something is out there, watching, waiting.
"At the end, I always thought there'd be stars..."
